Permanent-residence pathway
Under Latvia's Immigration Law effective 15 September 2026, at least five years of temporary residence is required before EU long-term resident/permanent status. PMLP also requires continuous lawful residence subject to permitted absences, stable and regular means, and Latvian language at A2 or higher. These are eligibility conditions, not an automatic grant. As of 2026-10-09Source 1Source 2

Research tool, not an immigration decision. This comparison summarizes published ReloTide metadata and explicitly structured facts. “Reviewed — unresolved” means the route was reviewed but no source-backed value was approved for that field; “No approved structured value” means the reviewed route has no approved fact record for that field. Neither means “no requirement.” Verify material requirements in the full route guide and current official sources.
