Philippines Special Visa for Employment Generation (SVEG)

The SVEG is designed for a qualified non-immigrant foreigner who will actually employ and maintain at least ten Filipinos in a lawful and sustainable enterprise, trade or industry.

Entrepreneur route with a real jobs test

This is the closest current general business-founder route to an employment-generation visa, but it is not a simple company-registration visa. The ten-Filipino employment condition is central and must be maintained.

BOI describes SVEG holders as special non-immigrants with multiple-entry privileges and conditional extended stay, subject to continuing compliance.

Not a freelancer visa

A solo consultant or self-employed person without the required Philippine workforce should not be described as SVEG-eligible merely because they own a business.
