Bangladesh Business Visa (B Visa) in 2026
The B visa is for genuine business travel such as trade, commerce and investment activity. It is not an employment visa and should not be used to take a job or perform paid/unpaid employment in Bangladesh.
Typical evidence
Current mission pages commonly request the printed online MRV application, passport, photographs, an invitation/sponsorship letter from a Bangladesh company or recognized business organization, and evidence from the applicant's overseas employer/business. Beijing guidance also lists the Bangladeshi sponsor's trade licence, tax certificate/TIN and company documentation. Your mission may request flight/residence-status or other supporting evidence.
Validity is mission-specific
Do not copy one post's validity into every application. Current official examples illustrate the difference:
- Beijing: a B visa may be issued for up to six months with single, double or multiple entries; its page also describes DIP extension in Bangladesh subject to sponsor/clearance rules.
- Seoul: the short-term B single-entry page lists 90 days, while the B multiple-entry page lists six months and a 30-day maximum stay per visit unless a longer stay is supported by business evidence/explanation.
This is why ReloTide does not publish one universal B-visa validity or fee for all nationalities/posts.
No employment
Seoul's current B-visa guidance explicitly says paid or unpaid employment is strictly prohibited. If the real purpose is to work for a Bangladesh entity or carry out an assignment that falls under employment authorization, use the employment/work-permit route. If the purpose is investment/management in your eligible enterprise, review the PI investor route.
Application process
- Obtain the appropriate Bangladesh invitation/sponsorship material.
- Complete and print the MRV application.
- Check the competent mission's nationality-specific fee and document list.
- Submit the passport/application/supporting evidence as instructed by that post.
- Observe the authorized entry and stay conditions; do not start employment on B status.
Frequently asked questions
Can I attend meetings and negotiate contracts?
Those activities align with the published trade/commerce/investment purpose, subject to your mission's assessment and the exact activities planned.
Can I work remotely for my foreign employer on B status?
The B category is not published as a digital-nomad/remote-work authorization. Seek specific advice rather than assuming foreign payroll removes Bangladesh work-rule concerns.
Can a B visa be extended?
Beijing's current page describes extension through DIP in Bangladesh under sponsor/clearance conditions, but your case and post history matter.
