e-Business Visa in India

India's official e-Visa system includes an e-Business Visa for eligible nationalities whose travel purpose is qualifying business activity.

January 2025 route position

For the requested January 2025 snapshot, the e-Business route was the electronic application channel for eligible business visitors. The official portal describes business purpose as an accepted e-Visa objective and requires business evidence such as a business card and details of the Indian firm or company.

The current official portal describes the e-Business Visa as a multiple-entry permission with one-year validity and applies stay limits under the e-Visa rules. Applicants should verify the exact validity and stay endorsement issued to them.

What it is not

The e-Business Visa does not create a digital-nomad, remote-work or employment route. It should be used only for the permitted business purpose. People taking up skilled employment should examine the Employment Visa.

Founders expecting longer-term business activity should also compare the regular Business Visa. High-value investors may separately assess Permanent Residency Status for Foreign Investors.
