Digital Nomad Residence in Montenegro in 2026
A digital nomad is defined as a foreigner employed by, or working electronically for, a foreign company or their own company that is not registered in Montenegro.
The temporary residence permit can be issued for up to 2 years and extended for up to 2 more years. A new digital-nomad permit can be issued after a 6-month gap following expiry.
Immediate family members may join the digital nomad for family reunification. The route should not be confused with employment for a Montenegrin company.
