Prospective Investor and Entrepreneur Business Visa in Rwanda — January 2025 snapshot
Rwanda provides a visitor visa for a prospective investor, entrepreneur or trader who is travelling to explore available business opportunities.
January 2025 purpose
This is an exploratory business-visitor category, not an employment or residence permit. DGIE describes the visa as valid for 90 days, available as single or multiple entry and renewable once.
Work prohibition
The official visa guidance expressly says work is not allowed and change of status is not allowed for this category. It therefore cannot be used as a digital-nomad, freelance or local-employment route.
A person who proceeds with a real investment or business operation must qualify for the appropriate residence permit, such as Investor Residence or Entrepreneur Residence.
See the Rwanda hub, business visas, methodology, and legal disclaimer.
