Viet Nam DH study and internship visa in 2026
The immigration symbol DH is for a foreign national entering Viet Nam for internship or study.
Visa and residence-card limits
A DH visa has a statutory maximum validity of one year. DH is also a temporary-residence-card category, with a current statutory ceiling of five years, subject to passport validity and the lawful study basis.
Study and work are separate
Student or intern status is not unrestricted local-employment permission. The Immigration Department explains that foreign students studying under treaties or agreements may combine study and work with written permission from the school or educational institution, but other labour rules can still apply.
Family
A qualifying DH holder may support a spouse or child under 18 for the TT family category, subject to the statutory conditions.
