Denmark Pay Limit Scheme in 2026
The Pay Limit Scheme does not require a specific educational background or occupation.
The 2026 minimum is DKK 552,000 per year, equal to DKK 46,000 per month. Salary and employment terms must correspond to Danish standards.
Only permitted salary components count. Benefits such as free car, phone, internet, canteen, housing or living expenses do not count toward the DKK 552,000 threshold.
The permit is linked to the job. A new job with a new employer normally requires a new permit. Immigration salary rules do not determine tax residence, CPR registration or permanent residence.
