Grenada permanent residence

Grenada's Home Affairs materials include a dedicated Permanent Residence application and supporting instruction sheet. This is the general permanent-resident route, distinct from the investment-migration programme.

Core application evidence

The published instructions require application forms, reference letters from reputable persons, police certificates from relevant countries, certified passport photographs, birth-certificate evidence, and a letter explaining the applicant's arrival, activities in Grenada and reason for seeking permanent residence.

Financial and medical evidence are also part of the process. The instruction sheet indicates that bank and medical documentation may be requested after due-diligence review.

Work rights remain a separate question

Permanent-residence status should not be confused with a work permit. The Department of Labour states that employers and permanent-residency holders must still comply with Grenada's employment and immigration law, and foreign nationals should confirm whether a Labour permit or exemption applies to their work.

Investment applicants

Applicants pursuing residence specifically through qualifying investment should review Permanent Residence by Investment, which is administered under Grenada's separate investment-migration legislation and agent framework.
