Business Visa in Qatar — January 2025 snapshot
Qatar's official framework included temporary business visas for short-term business activity.
Ministry of Interior business visa
The Ministry of Interior describes a business visa issued through accredited companies and institutions, valid for 30 days and extendable for another 60 days under the published conditions. Official embassy guidance also distinguishes short business visits from longer immigration status.
Temporary status
A business visa is not a substitute for a residence permit, investor residence, or ordinary company-sponsored employment residence. Entrepreneurs should not market this temporary entry permission as a startup-founder residence program.
January 2025 founder distinction
The Tier-1 sources reviewed for the January 2025 snapshot do not establish a dedicated general startup-founder residence visa. Founders may instead need an eligible investment/company structure and the appropriate Investor Residence Visa, QFZ company immigration, or QFC company immigration.
