Real-Estate Investor Residence in Qatar — January 2025 snapshot
Qatar's property framework provided a distinct residence pathway for qualifying non-Qatari real-estate owners in designated areas.
QAR 730,000 tier
The Ministry of Justice states that qualifying property valued at QAR 730,000 or more can support a residence permit without a sponsor, subject to the designated-area and other official requirements. The published framework also requires at least 90 days of residence in Qatar per year for the stated benefits.
QAR 3,650,000 tier
For property valued at QAR 3,650,000 or more, the Ministry describes real-estate residence with benefits associated with the permanent-residency card, including specified healthcare, education and investment advantages, again subject to the official conditions.
Residence is not citizenship
This is a property-linked residence framework. It is not a citizenship-by-investment route and should not be described as automatic permanent residence under Law No. 10 of 2018.
The separate Investor Residence Visa addresses selected business investment. Long-term residents meeting the statutory criteria can review the Permanent Residency Card.
