Saint Vincent and the Grenadines immigration pathways

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines separates work authorization, residence, permanent residence, and property ownership permissions. The reviewed official framework does not publish a dedicated digital-nomad visa or startup-founder visa.

Route map

Remote workers and digital nomads

No dedicated remote-work or digital-nomad visa was identified in the current official material. A person living in the country while performing paid activity should not assume visitor status automatically authorizes work. The appropriate residence and work-permit position depends on the facts, including whether the activity is local employment or self-employment.

Employees and skilled workers

The Prime Minister's Office requires a prospective employer and supporting evidence for the standard work permit. A work permit issued without a residence permit is limited by the published guidance to no more than six months; applicants seeking a longer period must also apply for residence.

Freelancers, self-employed people and founders

The government publishes a separate Self-employed Work Permit Form. This is the clearest official fit for self-employed activity, but company formation or business investment should not be treated as automatic immigration status.

Investors and property owners

Foreign property ownership can require an Alien's Land-Holding Licence. The PMO states that licence holders may apply for permanent residence, but the land-holding licence itself is not the same thing as residence permission.

Citizenship by Investment

The Government announced an intention to launch a Citizenship by Investment programme in 2026. As of this verification date, the Prime Minister's Office says the programme is Coming Soon and that further requirements will be published. Do not rely on unofficial agents claiming that applications are already open.
