Saint Vincent and the Grenadines work permit
A non-national taking local employment normally needs a work permit from the Office of the Prime Minister.
Employer-supported application
The official requirements include a letter from the employer, certified passport copy, evidence that the position was advertised, a police record and the application fee. Current PMO notices also require relevant registration and compliance evidence for companies and tax/National Insurance compliance status where applicable.
Six-month work-permit limit without residence
The Prime Minister's Office states that a work permit only is issued on a one-time basis for no more than six months. A person requesting work authorization for longer than six months must also submit a residence application.
Skilled work and CARICOM considerations
The official forms page also publishes the CSME application for recognition of CARICOM skills qualifications. Applicants who may qualify under regional free-movement rules should verify whether an exemption applies before assuming the ordinary work-permit route is required.
For self-employment, use the separate self-employed work permit.
See the country hub, temporary residence, Caribbean region, work visas, methodology, and legal disclaimer.
