Saint Vincent and the Grenadines permanent residence
The Prime Minister's Office publishes two important eligibility bases for permanent residence.
Seven years of temporary residence
A person who has been granted temporary residence in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for seven or more consecutive years may apply for permanent residence.
Alien's Land-Holding Licence holders
The PMO FAQ also states that a holder of an Alien's Land-Holding Licence may apply for permanent residence. Foreigners purchasing property can be required to obtain that licence through a local lawyer.
This does not mean a property purchase automatically creates permanent residence. The licence is a property-ownership permission and the permanent-residence application remains a separate immigration process.
Citizenship is separate
The PMO also explains citizenship by registration routes, including qualifying long-term residence, but permanent residence and citizenship are legally different statuses.
