Premium Residency Overview in Saudi Arabia in 2026

Saudi Arabia's Premium Residency system is not one visa. The National Platform currently lists seven products: Exceptional Competence Residency, Talent Residency, Business Investor Residency, Entrepreneur Residency, Real Estate Owner Residency, Unlimited Duration Premium Residency, and Limited Duration Premium Residency.

Shared application safeguards

The Premium Residency Center's current general conditions include valid passports for the applicant and included family members, evidence of financial solvency, a clean criminal record, and a recent health report from an approved center. An applicant applying from inside Saudi Arabia must also hold lawful residence with sufficient remaining validity under the Center's current rules.

Product-specific conditions are additional. Meeting a headline investment, salary, funding, property, award, or experience criterion does not by itself guarantee approval.

Rights and other legal layers

Premium Residency products can provide substantial residence, family, mobility, employment and investment benefits under their terms. Those benefits do not remove separate company-law, investment-license, labor, tax, regulated-profession, property-registration, or sector-specific requirements.

For ordinary Saudi employment rather than Premium Residency, compare the Permanent Work Visa and Temporary Work Visa. A Saudi "permanent work visa" is the official label for a work-visa service tied to long-term employment; it is not the same thing as permanent Premium Residency.
