Business Visit Visa in Sri Lanka in 2026
Sri Lanka's Business Purpose Visa is a non-resident visit visa for short-term business activity.
Allowed activities
The Department lists business meetings and negotiations, seminars, conferences and workshops, short-term training, and specified cultural, religious and symposium activities.
What it does not authorize
The official page expressly says the business visa does not allow business or trade activity, paid or unpaid employment, self-employment, or long-term residence through repeated visits.
That distinction matters: local employment should use the appropriate Employment Residence Visa, while foreign-source remote workers should examine the Digital Nomad Visa.
