UK Global Business Mobility routes in 2026
Global Business Mobility covers temporary overseas-company assignments such as Senior or Specialist Worker, Graduate Trainee, UK Expansion Worker, Service Supplier and Secondment Worker.
The current Immigration Rules state that these routes do not lead to settlement.
UK Expansion Worker is designed for a qualifying overseas business that has not yet begun trading in the UK. GOV.UK distinguishes this from Senior or Specialist Worker where the UK business is already trading.
The current UK Expansion Worker guide lists sponsorship, an eligible role and the applicable salary among the route conditions. Company incorporation or Companies House registration is separate from immigration permission.
See Appendix Global Business Mobility and the UK Expansion Worker guide.
