UK Global Talent visa in 2026
Global Talent is an unsponsored route for leaders or potential leaders in academia or research, arts and culture, or digital technology.
Most applicants need endorsement from the relevant approved body. A person who has won a prize specifically listed by the Home Office can apply without the endorsement stage; another award from the same organisation is not automatically enough.
Settlement timing
The qualifying period can be 3 or 5 years, depending on the field and how the applicant qualified. Current Immigration Rules provide a 3-year period for specified endorsement categories and listed-prize applicants, while some exceptional-promise categories use 5 years. Separate settlement and continuous-residence requirements still apply.
