Digital Nomad Temporary Residence in Serbia

Serbia recognizes Digital Nomad as a statutory basis for temporary residence. It is a residence basis distinct from the employment grounds that lead to the single permit for residence and work.

The official Foreign Nationals Portal lists Digital Nomad alongside investor, startup, talent and highly qualified foreign citizen among the prescribed temporary-residence grounds. A temporary residence permit can generally be issued for up to three years depending on the legal basis and evidence accepted in the individual case.

This route should not be described as an open permit for local Serbian employment. Applicants whose activity is employment, Serbian self-employment, or an independent-professional engagement should use the corresponding employment/single-permit framework.
