Independent Professional Single Permit in Serbia
The Independent Professional ground is a specific employment route, not a synonym for every freelancer.
Official Serbian guidance defines an independent professional as a self-employed individual or sole proprietor registered abroad who performs work in Serbia under a contract directly concluded with a Serbian employer or end user. The published documentation includes proof of foreign professional registration, the Serbian service contract with a work deadline, professional qualifications, and at least three years of relevant work experience.
Because this is an employment ground, the longer-stay framework is the single permit for temporary residence and work. A person whose remote clients and economic activity remain outside Serbia should separately examine the Digital Nomad basis.
