Startup Temporary Residence in Serbia

Serbia has a dedicated Startup temporary-residence basis for foreign founders of a Serbian company whose innovative activity is recognized by a registered Science and Technology Park with the required public-sector founder connection.

The Ministry of Interior states that the first temporary residence is approved for one year. For an extension, the applicant must produce one of the prescribed continuation proofs: qualifying employment of one or more Serbian citizens, at least RSD 1,000,000 of business income during the previous residence period, or confirmation from the Science and Technology Park that the company remains actively engaged in innovative activity.

This is narrower than merely incorporating a company. Founders who do not meet the startup framework may need the self-employment route instead.
