In-Demand Profession PR Visa (B9) in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan's B9 visa is a permanent-residence-oriented route for specialists in in-demand professions.

MFA guidance introduced the updated B9 framework effective 18 November 2024. The visa recipient must be a specialist in a sought-after profession and provide a copy of an education diploma corresponding to the official list used for foreigners seeking permanent residence.
B9 is not the ordinary work visa
B9 is linked to permanent-residence processing. Ordinary local employment is handled through C3, while qualified independent employment in priority sectors uses C4. IT specialists may instead qualify for B9-1.
