Investor Visa (A5) in Kazakhstan

The A5 investor visa is not a generic passive-investment residence permit. It is tied to specified investment activity.

Official Kazakhstan sources identify A5 for heads, deputy heads and/or heads of structural divisions of legal entities engaged in investment activity in Kazakhstan. The official visa rules also cover certain foreigners investing under the AIFC investment tax-residency program and their family members.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Investment Committee issues petitions for investor visas under the applicable rules.

Which investor route?

A foreign businessperson whose own qualifying investment exceeds the separate threshold should also examine A6. Entrepreneurs without the A5 role or investment basis should review C5.
