Neo Nomad Visa (B12-1) in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan introduced the Neo Nomad Visa (B12-1) effective 18 November 2024 for foreign citizens who work remotely and earn stable income from sources outside Kazakhstan.

The official MFA materials describe a multiple-entry visa valid for up to one year. Applicants must demonstrate stable monthly foreign-source income of at least USD 3,000, with supporting bank statements, a tax return/declaration, criminal-record evidence and health insurance.
What it does not do
B12-1 is a remote-work/tourist route. Official MFA guidance states that it does not provide the possibility of employment in Kazakhstan. It should not be used as a substitute for a local employment visa or the qualified self-employment visa.
It is also different from the Digital Nomad IT Visa B9-1, which is oriented toward IT specialists seeking permanent residence.
